Sommen was a male Ithorian agent who served in the Rebel Alliance during the First Galactic Civil War. As a part of a infiltration mission, Sommen worked as a medical engineer for Neuro-Saav Corporation on Tauber. He was design-station neighbor to Dr. Clinto Alaras. The Rebel Alliance Task Force feared Alaras trying to steal Sommen's work and revealing his cover.
