A male Twi'lek from the planet Ryloth, Onok was brought to the Old Jedi Order where he would learn the ways of the Force. After passing his Trials of Knighthood, Onok was elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight during the time when the Resurgent Sith Empire attacked Coruscant after the Treaty of Coruscant. He and many Jedi went on to the world of Tython, the ancient homeworld of the Jedi. There, he would later be elevated to the rank of Jedi Master.
In 3643 BBY, the final year of the Cold War, Onok served as a member of a group of Jedi led by Jedi Master Surro, and the group adopted a sixth line to the Jedi Code. The team served as the Republic's scouts on the planet Balmorra after Grand Marshal Cheketta's defeat at the Balmorran Arms Factory, and the group suffered a loss when one of their number, Danak, was killed by Imperials after being exposed by a Twi'lek named Ivo. Six years later, the group—now officially known as the Sixth Line and in the employ of the Republic Strategic Information Service—was deployed on the planet Ziost by Theron Shan, the son of Satele Shan and Jace Malcom. However, during the mission, Onok and the others fell under the control of Vitiate, the former Sith Emperor who was thought to have defeated by a lone Jedi Knight, known as the Hero of Tython, on Dromund Kaas. During the Invasion of Ziost that followed, Vitiate used Onok and Master Landai as puppets, and the two were defeated in battle in the People's Tower in the city of New Adasta.
Behind the ScenesEdit
Onok was first introduced in the short story The Sixth Line, released shortly before Game Update 3.2: Rise of the Emperor was added to the Star Wars: The Old Republic. Onok and Landai appear in the mission "Dead Center". For light side alignment points, players can shock him and Landai into unconsciousness, but the two would later be killed when Vitiate unleashed a wave of death energy across the planet, killing them and many living things to ash. They could already be killed by players, earning dark side alignment points.
