Eekar Oki was a Mon Calamari Jedi who hailed from the world of Dac. During the Clone Wars, Oki and a number of Jedi were present in the communication center where they viewed a transmission from Grievous, in which the cyborg general shows his victory over the Jedi by having one of his MagnaGuards torture Master Eeth Koth. Following the vote for the Republic financial reform bill, Oki was present inside the Senate Building with Anakin Skywalker. He was also present when he welcomed a group of Jedi Padawans from their imprisonment on the moon Wasskah. He attended the funeral of those that were perished in the Bombing of the Jedi Temple Hangar.

Biography[]

Hailing from the planet Dac, homeworld of the Mon Calamari, Eekar was discovered at a very young age, and was soon brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Like every Jedi, Eekar studied the ways of the Force during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Sometime around 22 BBY, the first year of the Clone Wars, the evil Separatist General Grievous successfully captured Eeth Koth, a member of the Jedi High Council. Oki and a number of Jedi were present in the Jedi Temple communication center when Grievous sent a holographic transmission to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Oki looked down in horror when he saw Koth been tortured by the cyborg general.[1]

A year later, after the Galactic Senate voted to deregulate the Republic's banks, Eekar was inside the Senate Building speaking with Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker until Padmé Amidala and Ahsoka Tano came back.[2] Later on, Eekar, along with Finn Ertay, was also present when Jedi Padawans Jinx, O-Mer, and Ahsoka Tano returned to Coruscant after they were rescued by a group of Wookiees from imprisonment on the Trandoshan moon Wasskah.[3]

When the Jedi Temple's hangar was bombed by an unknown assailant, Oki—along with many other Jedi, senators and Republic personnel—attended the funeral of the Jedi killed in the event.[4]
