Caudle was a Human male Jedi Master who served the Old Jedi Order during the final period of the Old Galactic Republic.
Biography[]
A Force-sensitive Human male, Caudle was trained in the ways of the Force and learned much about the light side. After ascending to the rank of Jedi Knight, Caudle pursued independent studies in the ways of the Jedi Consular, specializing as a healer. Using Force healing to tend to those Jedi wounded in the line of duty, Caudle served as a physician at the Coruscant Temple's Halls of Healing.
Caudle had achieved the rank of Jedi Master by the time of the Clone Wars, a galaxy-wide conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Remaining at the Temple during the war, Caudle continued to tend to Jedi Initiates and Padawans injured during training bouts. Sometime in 22 BBY, Caudle was the healer responsible for tending the wounds of Padawan Scout after her injuries in the Apprentice Tournament and was mildly sarcastic about Scout's having grabbed a lightsaber blade.
After the war ended in 19 BBY, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, who was revealed to be the Sith Lord who hid himself in the Republic, issued Order 66, in which branded the Jedi as traitors and called for their immediate execution. Jedi Master Caudle continued to remain at the Temple when Anakin Skywalker, who had fallen to the dark side and became Darth Vader under the tutelage of Darth Sidious, led a detachment of the 501st Legion's clone troopers to wipe out all the Jedi inside the temple. He was perished in the terrible massacre in the Jedi Temple, which led to the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge.
